These bracelets are made with goldstone. In Venice in the 17th century, alchemists accidentally created it while trying to make gold. The legacy of their intent can be seen in the shimmering golden flecks of these beads that glitter in the light and add a sheen of luxury.
Our love of blown glass is how this whole line started. We love how each piece is organic in shape and unique in color. Some examples of the beads and applications that excites us most are:
- Dichroic glass, which is created when a vapor is applied to sheet glass; even decals can be made in a variety of designs and then embedded in clear glass.
- Pattern is added through canes, dots, and flowers to give the inside some interest.
- Even metal foil can be applied to the exterior of the glass - anything that is shiny makes us extra happy, right?
- Mixed beads with crystal, semi-precious stones, and pearls are the perfect go to glam, especially on a rainy day like today.
Whether atop dangling drops (bottom left), spirals (top left and bottom right), or Czech glass (top right), SJS neon earrings are an inexpensive, easy way to inject some color into the incoming winter.
